Dimension on this exquisite piece is created with flat, non-shiny threads.  The white face is 1 strand floche.  The burgundy cords are stitched with Petite Very Velvet and outlined in gold cord.

The jewels across the top are worked in a satin stitch  using Fyrewerks FT12 and FT14 over a small plastic curtain ring worked from the outside to the center.  Each jewel is surrounded by #15 beads strung and couched into place.  A pearl is secured in the center of each jewel.

The border is worked in Fyrewerks, 1 strand of DMC Satin Moline and gold #15-465A beads.
